He went without a fight

She didn’t even say goodbye

No way to make it right

Now trying to forget it all

She stumbles through the day

Putting on a brave front

But it just won’t go away

Helping her to make it through another lonely night

Finding strength in desperation

Sometimes she thinks about him

Remembers nights like this

She knows the life they once had
